About The AFA India Air Force Association India is a non-governmental- organisation with its Head Office at AF Station, New Delhi, and Branches all over the country and abroad. This is a voluntary organisation and all veterans are encouraged to come forward and pursue the charter of the AFA. The AFA was set up by Marshal Of The Air Force Arjan Singh DFC, in 1980 is a recognised body by the Govt of India, & is mandated to look after the interests of all the air veterans and their families. Many deserving children are being awarded scholarships under the aegis of the AFA. Donations and subscriptions are the main sources of the funds for the AFA. Marshal of the Air Force Trust established by the MIAF with an initial donation of Rs 2 Cr is also being looked after by the AFA along with other nominated office bearers from the IAF and as per its charter. A Senior Citizens Home in Delhi is being looked after by the AFA. We are now working with the IAF for setting up a new SCH in Secunderabad, Telangana. It is important for all air veterans to become Members of the AFA. The NOK of all Veteran Members are paid a sum of Rs 5000/- on passing away of the member. Please see our website afa-india.org .
