About a month ago, I let the Helen Ross Mcnabb folks know, and told the Knox County folks last week, that it is time for me to move on. Eight years ago, I was the first Licenced Clinical Social Worker to work full time at the Jail. My job wasnt only to work with the Inmates, but to bring the idea of Mental Health to the staff. That mission has been completed! It is time for the next generation at Knox County. I am doing this to give everyone plenty of time to plan for someone to take my place. I am not quite sure what is next! Helen Ross is working with me on that one : chances are good that the next one will be the last one before Retirement. Of all the things I have done over the years, Job wise, this has been perhaps the most rewarding! Working with the officers and staff I work with, and occasionally seeing results with Inmates ( mostly those I run into on the outside ) has made it so ! Here is a Thank You and towards a smooth transition in the future!!! Todays self-motto: Life Happens ! ... :)
