About a week ago, a neighbors bull jumped the fence, enticed by Blacky who had just dropped her calf, and progressively began harassing our cattle. He has horns and our cattle dont....so when it came to bucking he had the advantage. I was worried about our newborn calf, especially since I saw the bull bucking Bobby who is only 7 months old. Today, finally, the owner arranged to bring a trailer and transport the bull home. Jimmy roped him with his venerated rope he used during his bull-riding career. I caught some parts with my phone. It was exciting to watch, especially since it was my first time to really see Jimmy in cowboy action. The very first thing that happened (sorry, not on video) was that our Bully and his one year old son, Socks, gave the bull a bit of his own medicine back: they ganged up on him and bucked him a few good times! I was so proud of Jimmy. He took charge and handled the bull as if he were a tame pet! The bull destroyed two gates in the process, but Jimmy got him safely into the trailer, although he cut his thumb badly while roping him :( Two of our young friends helped. One of them has a 4 year old daughter and she was on the porch with me while I filmed, cheering on her daddy! When they finally got the bull into the trailer, his horn got stuck. Jimmy undauntedly went into the trailer with the bull, grabbed him by his horns and got him loose and into the proper position. All is well that ends well! The bull went back home and our cattle are once again in peace. And I am a very proud wife of my cowboy husband! Wooo-hooo! Great job Jimmy!
