About eight years ago, Hollis James and I came up with the idea for Teachers Lounge. It was a simple idea. I would play the music teacher (based on my former job) and Hollis would play the janitor (based on his college job as a janitor at a mental hospital). We would work at a school together, hang out in the teachers lounge and wed have a revolving door of great comedians playing faculty members. Eight years later, Im thrilled that Teachers Lounge is finally becoming a reality. We wrote scripts with comedians in mind and couldnt believe who actually said yes to us: - Jim Gaffigan as the Earth Science Teacher - Lewis Black as the Principal - Janeane Garofalo as the P.A. Announcer - Dave Attell as the School Photographer - Michael Che as the Head of the Talented & Gifted Program - Judy Gold as the Gym Teacher - Jim Norton as the Head of Security - Todd Barry as the Librarian - Rachel Feinstein as the School Nurse - Judah Friedlander as the Computer Science Teacher - Jeffrey Joseph as the Dean of Discipline - Musican Ted Leo as himself - and countless other amazing comedians making cameos If our show sounds like the kind of show youd want to watch, I ask that you please consider putting some money into our kickstarter and helping to spread the word to your friends.
