About exactly how I feel right now...A little holiday poem written by yours truly: ‘Twas the night before Christmas, And all through Philly, With football ending, You’re left with your Willie! The Sixers blow, The Flyers barely deserve a wink, Anyone busting my balls about our teams, Can take one right in the stink! The Phils will rebuild, The Birds will reload, Just hoping Williams and Allen aren’t there, Or this city will implode! Dark days ahead, As winter creeps in, 7 months of shit, ‘Til the training camp begins! With all this sports gloom, I can promise you this, I’ll drink enough beer, To make a camel piss! One of these days, Our time will come, Until then, Keep dealing with the bums! On a lighter note, Much fun on the docket, A calendar release party on January 10th, Will spring your red rocket!! On Christmas Day, After the family drives you up a wall, Join us at Bourbon Blue at 8 PM, And I promise you a ball! New Year’s Eve this year, At Kings or the Loews, The Northern Liberties party is over, BECAUSE THE PIAZZA OWNERS BLOW!! One final note, As this comes to a close, Many things have come clear, As this author knows! Philly is full, Of people with love, Other cities don’t get it, When push comes to shove! Your friends have your back, This time of year, No other city does, Not even one near! Enjoy your family, Enjoy your friends, That’s all that matters, When all of this ends! Enjoy your time with loved ones this holiday season!! Dont worry, we all feel like shit when it comes to our teams...Best part is that we share that shit together!
