About good manners. Usually people see good manners as being polite towards other beings. All creatures created by The Creator. WHO everybody calls GOD. If we trace back the origin of GOD, it begins with Hebrew (language of the Jews or People of Israel). The word is Elohim. The word GOD is new. English is new. The nearest to Hebrew is Arabic. Arabic is the language of the Arabs. The Quran is in Arabic. GOD reveals the Quran to an Arab. His name is Muhammad (peace be on him). Read history. You learn that Muhammad (peace be on him) could not read nor write. Research yourself. Go to these many Islamic websites. You soon find. But I tell you one thing. You need to be focus. You need to spend some time. Before you can reach a conclusion. But as soon as you know, you realise that Islam has its own strict way of keeping records of history. It is called Chain of Narration. You can go down memory lane. Start with Z, soon you finishes with A. A is WHO first says the news. Real scholars know whether such news from the past is authentic or false. It has its own discipline. Unlike other religions, that is how Islam is. Supportive. Valid. Solid. Justified. Unlike the Quran, The Bible is no longer with its original language. Majority of young Christians never realise that the Bible they read is a translation of King James Version (KJV). It is written in Old English. Average readers are going to have problem with understanding. Dont try reading KJV unless you are really good with Old English. There are manuscripts of the Bible. Old writings of both Old and New Testaments. The Bible is divided into 2. Old and New Testaments. The original language of the Old Testament is Hebrew. As for the New Testament, the original language is Greek. Open any daily Bible and I can assure you, you find no Hebrew or Greek. Allow me to educate you about translation. There is a novel by Shahnon Ahmad. The title is Rimba Harapan. Someone translated it into English. It has a new name, Jungle of Hope. It is based on Malay culture. When you read it in Malay, if you are a Malay, automatically you feel the characters and the plot line. But if you had never known Malay, you can still understand the English translation but you most likely are unable to feel the environment of the novel. Not because of the words. Not because of the sentence structures. What made it like that is because of the different custom and culture in the novel. I never said that translation does not bring good. It does bring benefits to people. They know what they read. Because they are reading in a language they know. They understand better. But the grammar rules of different languages differ. Certain aspects of the language is impacted. That happens with any translated works. Common thing if one reads in different languages. What is uncommon is, for the Bible to be translated into other languages from KJV. Remember KJV is not with the original language. The original language of the Old Testament is Hebrew. The original language of the New Testament is Greek. Why must they use a translation to translate into other translations? The Scholars of Christianity should have used the original Hebrew and Greek. I watched Bart Ehrman, a professor of Religious Studies in the University of North Carolina, USA. He is a historian of the Bible. He happens to know Hebrew and Greek. He checked the manuscripts of the Old and New Testament only to find contradictions. Verses of the BIble are contradicting one another. Long time ago there was no printing machine. So copies were made by the hands of men. Very few could write. During the time of monks who lives in monasteries, they were responsible for making copies. And copies they made went through intentional and unintentional changes. The same manuscript they used as a basis for a new copy, often went through certain changes during the process of copying. Read Misquoting Jesus by Bart Ehrman. He concludes that it is almost impossible for scholars of Christianity to retrieve the original words of Jesus which are supposed to come from GOD. Changing GODs words to me is the most cruel act a person can do. Even Satan has never had that in mind. In Islam lying in the name of GOD is most detestable. Not practising what GOD commands is a sin. But to change the words of GOD that is like someone admitting that he/she is GOD. Because the true message is twisted. The message which is true has become doubtful and questionable. Allah knows best.
