About me. Hmm. How exactly do you write an About Me? Well, to start off Im 20 years old living in Tennessee. A place I have always called home, born and raised. Im not sure if I will live here forever but definitly as of right now this is where the Lord has kept me. One word anyone who knows me would describe me is, HorseObsessed. Well both act like thats truly one word. Ive never owned a horse while I was growing up and Ive planned to make it happen ever since I was young. How many of you have said the exact same thing? What about making the dream come true? Its still in the works isnt it, and if not, it took a long time didnt it? See, in reality all I see is the same dream being dreamt by all kinds of people of all ages. Some make it happen and most are still wishing on the day. Whether youre 12 years old with high hopes and not much let down, or 50 years old whos been dreaming since you were a little girl and just havent had the abilitiy yet. We all are in the same boat. No one really gets this burning passion we all have. Ive felt alone most of my life with this dream. I remember in high school I was that horse crazy girl. I never got affended because I knew it was going to happen, whether they thought I was crazy or not. Most times I was proud because 10 years down the road Id own my horses and maybe my rescue, and I could tell exactly how hard I worked for this so called crazy dream. Once I was a senior in high school I decided college wasnt for me. Especially the Equestrian Colleges I found quite tempting. I realized I could learn what I needed to know through books and experience around them. One of these things fell through and made me think I was going to have to make this dream happen on my own. I continued to come across busy people who had no time for my help at their barn or to teach me a thing or two. I also noticed if you arent in the horse world, you have no connections and every one doubts your passion and abilities. When I did find a lovely lady who enjoyed my help and saw my passion as if it was her own, I was working way too much to get out to the barn. But I would see her at every horse show I could get myself to. She is the lady who I hope helps me choose my first horse. Her opinion matters but the horse I choose will be one who is easily looked over or too much hard work. Because the hard work is no where close to over once the horse is yours. Most of us who are seasoned dreamers know it takes a lot, but we see the rewards whatever those are to you. Mine are just like the ones I feel when I see a child finally understand something, which is why I wanted to be a teacher when I was younger. Now Im thinking of homeschooling. Plenty of reason why on that subject. But anyways, my type of rewards are the same with horses as I see with children. When the horse finally connects with you, trusts you, learns with you and accepts you as their leader. Another reason I want to rescue. No matter how much in debt that might make me, I will always want to show a horse that even though its been a tough ride, youre safe now. Sounds cheesy but thats alright. I started YouTube because I wanted to show others that dreams can come true from scratch. From absoulutly nothing but a dream. The dream grows bigger, the hope rises higher and the hard work gets much harder. Like most of you Im sure, youve had plenty of let downs and doubtful moments. I told myself and my subscribers on YouTube that I will own a horse in March 2015. Well. About that. Of course something else was thrown at me and I knew the Lord was giving me more lovely chances to practice patience. Then out of no where this surprise Ive been working on came into play and thats where Im currently at. I have 2 goals this year and I know 1 of them will gosh darnit happen! In a way I must fulfill the surprise (goal #one) to get closer to owning a horse.
