About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them (Acts 16:25). Paul and Silas were stripped, beaten, and placed in stocks within the inner cell of a prison. Despite these adverse circumstances, they praised God through prayer and song, at midnight, no less! And as a result of their praise and the moving of the Holy Spirit, many were saved. Scripture tells us that the jailer and his entire household were among the saved. How awesome is that? Ladies, May our hearts be compelled to praise the Lord in the midst of our own challenging circumstances. Consider the impact our choices have on those around us. Perhaps our family members and others around us, will take notice and join us in praise. Perhaps, burdens will be lifted and someone will receive Christs gift of salvation, as a result of our desire to praise His name. Ah, to experience the power of praise!
