About the Role SweetBeam is looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing, dynamic Analytics department. The analytics team builds and uses business intelligence and profiled data to reveal insights into the purchasing patterns of in-house guests at five-star hotels and resorts around the world. Things You’d Do • Improve effectiveness of SweetBeam’s marketing by analyzing, for each clients targeted plan, specific outcomes and trends • Generate insight into opportunities at prospective new clietns by generating in-depth opportunity analyses • Aggregate, clean and analyze guest spending data • Perform second level analyses using profile, demographic, point-of-sale and time dimensions • Generate reports, maintain dashboards and produce commentary on the findings • Be a leading contributor to the design and construction of the SweetBeam Business Intelligence service • Help optimize SweetBeam’s new Data Warehouse and data flow processes • Perform ad-hoc data analysis (sampling, clustering, factor analysis, linear regression) • Even more interesting stuff that we tackle as we invent it! ... Requirements • Proficiency with script-writing for at least one of the following tools is absolutely essential: SPSS, SAS or Stata • Excellent Excel, reporting and graph-creation skills • Sound knowledge of mathematics and applied statistics • Strong analysis skills to translate data into actionable insight • Utmost attention to detail (both obsessive and compulsive, please) • Excellent time management and prioritization skills • Passion for experimentation, learning and discovery Experience • Bachelors in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative discipline • 2-5 years of related work experience in BI, statistical analysis and/or data management • Fluent English About SweetBeam SweetBeam is igniting a love affair between hotels and their guests and in doing so is changing an industry.
