About the Saints Future Fest This is just a general response to those of you who are asking why some players are signed until 2018, some until 2017, some until 2016 and some until 2015. Here are some reasons: * The club is a business and the club has a salary cap. * Players have managers who negotiate different deals. * Players salaries vary. * Players have injury issues or concerns with form. Anyone who plays Supercoach or Dream Team would understand how hard it is to create the perfect team with a limited budget. Imagine having the responsibility for organising 45 to 46 players salaries. The club also has to pay staff and generate revenue. It is a very complex process and the club has to plan for the next 3 to 5 years and they can never know fully, who will fire, who will get injured or who will drop off the list in the future.
