About those smart meters: In the state of Georgia, it has come to the attention of several customers of power providers such as Carroll EMC and others that removing a smart meter is not an option. The Georgia Public Service Commission advised the reason GEORGIA POWER customers have the option to do so is because they are regulated by the government, but non-profits like EMC are not and therefore do not have to comply. (Now we get into the issue of regulation... and citizens rights. Sticky all the way around.) HOWEVER, a family member who works for Georgia Power has stated that these power providers get their power from Georgia Power. SO, shouldnt this option to remove smart meters apply to ALL of Georgia Powers customers - direct or indirect customers? Shouldnt all of Georgias residents have the same right to remove their dangerous and invasive meters? Smart meters are not only an invasive device, but a very serious health hazard to our health.
