About true happiness and peace. ~~~ Most, if not all of us, live in a state of internal conflict, haunted by a sense of isolation and frustration. Often leading to depression and emotional instability. We cannot live in an unstable psychological state. That is not our natural state. It is unbearable. On a deep level, we know happiness and we know it is our birthright ... given our experience until the age of three or so and given we are the happiness that we love. We do not seek happiness. We love happiness. Many folks talk against seeking happiness. Do you not seek to eat when you are hungry? I rather not use the word seek. We do not seek to eat when hungry, we love to eat when hungry. We love to be in the company of good friends. We love to exercise when the body is stiff. Loving happiness is not a seeking. It is a loving. Like a pup loves his mother, like an elephant loves a mud bath. Like a bird loves to fly. Some of us understand that the belief in separation is a core aspect of unhappiness. Some understand that the I-thought and me-feeling leads to an unstable internal state of unhappiness. Unhappiness is unbearable to the intelligence that we are! Out of intelligence, passion for truth and sensitivity, some of us start to inquire into this unstable and unhappy situation that we refer to as separation. Once we start, there is no choice about this inquiry. Why call it a pursuit? Is it not a path of love?.. A path that leads us from the ignorance of separation to the realization of our innate happy and free true nature ... The pointer that happiness is not worldly is an important pointer. We all know that. We all have been there, done that. We have pursued money, fame, relationships, situations, to no avail... Happiness is not at the end of the rainbow. In the midst of our inquiry ... we get glimpses of our wholeness. Our indivisibility. We star wondering: maybe, after all, there is no real separation? Maybe the world, body and mind are my intimate Self ... as pure seamless universal awareness? Maybe I am not this mortal body mind I have believed myself to be for all these years? Unbeknownst to us, we are well on our way home... Yes... The path of love.
