About two weeks ago we introduced you to Porkchop, and showed you some before and after photos of the transformation he made after spending just a week here at the BCHS. What we didnt tell you then was that he had a companion that he was traveling with; a three year old retriever mix that we named Noel. Unfortunately, Noels road to recovery has been a little longer than Porkchops was. Due to a severe bacterial skin infection, she has been back and forth to the veterinarian several times, and is currently taking anti-biotic treatments to help clear things up. Though the changes have been slower with Noel, theyre beginning to become very noticeable, as evident in the pictures below. Shes gradually beginning to put on weight, re-grow her hair, and open up to the staff members and volunteers caring for her. Well continue to update all of you with Noels progress as she grows healthy and ready for adoption. It looks as though it will be another two to three weeks at this point, but were already impressed with the steps shes taking on her journey to health, happiness, and her forever home.
