【Abraham Devotion : 14-10-2014】《Choice》Bible study verses: Joshua 24:14 Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. 15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD. ※※※ We need to face choice making a lot in our lifetimes, such as our own beliefs, the roads we take, lifestyles, marriages, careers, investment projects etc. If we are not able to choose or make wrong choices, most of the time there is no turning back. Life is short, we cant afford to be wrong. While we are still free to make choices, we should learn how to choose, with care and wisdom; whats more is to seek Gods leadership and guidance and get Him to involve for our choice making, we may avoid taking wrong paths and footsteps. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meditated verses: Psalms 25:12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. 13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land. 14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Prayer items: (1) With a heart in fear of God, dont walk in the counsel of the wicked or sit in the seat of mockers. This is the first choice of our lifetime. (2) Next is to seek God with a humble heart, to seek wisdom, knowledge and learning, live in harmony with people and nature. Dont be ignorant and foolish and stop acting against Gods will. (3) Choose to walk in Gods path with honesty, that is the most suitable and best path for you. Choose to do what God wants you to do, thats the most suitable and best task for you. Let our lives prosper to the full. written by Abraham Yeung. Translated by John Yeung. Welcome forward to others.
