Abraham believed God and HE counted it for him as righteousness[Romans 4:3] I dont really believe that theres someone out there that believes in NOTHING. Whether they call themselves Atheists or any other title,Somehow,they believe in something. Few years ago on a flight heading towards Lagos the plane started descending quickly in what the Captain described as TURBULENCE. He did his best to calm everyone down that it wasnt a problem and we shall be All right in a couple of minutes. But despite his words which was meant to calm people down,theres panic,I feared and so was many others in that 2-3 minutes and wondered whether this is the last journey for us. I saw people praying,Christians prayed,Muslims counted beads and prayed, others sat so quiet and possibly calling on whichever god/gods they believed in to come to their rescue should the plane have serious difficulty. 3 minutes as the Captain said,It was calm and the clouds were clear and we landed safely. When push comes to shove,When death stands at the door,When you are 32,000feet above sea level were told that the engine has failed. Your believe in God,Your ability to pray,Your ability to fast and claim Gods promises will never be in doubt. Abraham BELIEVED in God,But unlike some of us who claim to believe when we had no other choice,He demonstrated his faith,His commitment to do Gods will to the end. The question is not whether you believe in God,But whats your believe like? How do you relate to him? Is it just a fire brigade approach or is there a proper relationship with him? In good times,You hardly go to church or give God time,you are a busy man,always busy with appointments and stuff like that,anyone telling you to go to church you respond quickly that CHURCH DOESNT SAVE. Now you are struggling and suddenly Church is now your 2nd home. I used to see jokes made of mature single ladies that go from Church to church and do all sorts of things to get husband,It will be interesting to know that few years ago those girls while in their prime doesnt care about church, Night clubs was perfect for them,but when the club fails,When the beauty fades,When the breasts and bums that was her god earlier starts to lose their firmness,When she moves from Twenties to Thirties approaching 40 and still single,suddenly,Church becomes very important,Night vigil in the church will replace Night clubs. Headties will replace weavons. The Good thing about God is that he is such a good father who will never chase away any son or daughter that comes to him. No matter how far/how long you have been running away,Should you decide to seek him today,He will be there for you. He will forgive your years of ignoring him,The years you spent questioning if God existed,The years you spent. worshiping yourself,The years you spent destroying other peoples happiness, the years you spent creating problems in our community Umuekwune,the years you spent in ezeship tussle and refusing to forgive. He will still forgive and create a new page for you. Hence the scriptures said,Seek the LORD while he may be found,Call on him while he is near[Isa 55:6] This simply means that there will be a time when the LORD wont be near or be found,The day your spirit leaves your body,It will be too late to SEEK the LORD. Every opportunity is now. REPENT AND MAKE UMUEKWUNE A BETTER PLACE FOR YOU AND FOR ME. Happy Xmas in Advance!!!
