Absolute Radio 60s - Absolute Cobblers. Most people probably dont notice, or dont care. But why put out information that is completely duff in every way, aimed at an audience who love 60s music? For those like me who grew up in that decade, which must make up a sizeable potion of their listenership, it just isnt good enough. Ive just been informed that the Beatles Rubber Soul album was released in 1966, 65 actually. And that George Harrisons song If I Needed Someone was influenced by The Byrds. It was actually the other way round. Roger McGuinn from the Byrds heard Georges song, which he then copied. Influencing the Byrds jangly guitar sound on songs such as Bob Dylans Mr. Tambourine Man. Shoddy research and lazy broadcasting. There must be broadcasters out there who can do better than this!
