Absolute power was the basis for function when its application was a given, when rulers had the power of life and death over subjects, when governments could commit genocide with impunity something which is no longer possible. ISIS will be defeated but this will not solve the Sunni/Shia conflict which has been raged for literally thousand of years because the basis for governmental authority in Iraq is who is militarily dominant and the Shia government in Iraq no matter how well armed and trained as they were during the first Coalition Government Occupation of that nation during, I reiterate, the most monumental modern blunder that was the Attack on Iraq, cannot defeat the Sunni forces which if defeated rise again in the not too distant future. Nor is the Taliban defeated in Afghanistan so this will be another conflict unresolved, another sore festering beneath the surface of that nation which will suppurate and burst out once again but they the powers that be, the agents of coercion determined culture, are determined not free and cannot develop beyond solving problems by accumulating and applying power whether the problems is economic, social or military they cannot adapt or change so the drift to species suicide continues. Because to overcome the onset of global warming the human species must become capable of the most fundamental change a sentient species could conceive of or attempt renouncing and rejecting coercion and becoming adept at using positive reinforcements; and, the vicious circle of economic decline, social inertia and interminable wars become with each addition with each passing day an increasingly powerful vortex sucking us downwards and distracting human energies from the real inevitable threat, need I say it, the onset of global warming. It is not enough for the nations that constitute Western civilization without China to cease burning fossil fuels to be certain that this clear and present danger will be overcome; and we must be certain because the very existence of our species is at stake so be clear I am uniquely rational from telling the truth as much as possible the only individual capable of perceiving this endgame scenario except within the Scandinavian nations and Germany; and, I say again this Cassandra must be believed, the one and only certain solution is to give peace a chance if cooperation replaces competition as the ethos of the majority of nations worldwide.
