Absolutely. Let’s be clear, though, Liverpool have been a massive disappointment this season and there’s no doubt that if this form continues Brendan Rodgers and FSG will be having some pretty serious discussions in the summer. For me, though, I think Brendan has done enough in his time at the club to earn the chance to get it right. We all wanted to see the Reds pick up where we left of last year, but it clearly hasn’t worked out that way. This is Rodgers’ first year handling the additional pressures of Champions League, a larger squad and life without Luis Suarez, it was always going to be tricky. I’ve seen some people questioning his ability on our social media accounts, but one thing we know for certain is that he’s a young coach who is learning on the job. FSG took a bold step in recruiting Rodgers, and hopefully they have the courage of their convictions to continue to back him though this tough period. All through this season I’ve seen people throwing around the “Liverpool have done a Spurs” line. The similarities are there, but the true test will come in whether the owners, the fans and the players have it in them stand together through adversity. Spurs chose to sack AVB, and I think we should be mindful of what has happened to them as a result (read: Tim Sherwood). The pressure is definitely , and rightfully on Brendan at the minute, but if he’s the world class coach that Liverpool need at the helm, he’ll prove himself so in the coming weeks and months.
