Absolutely shocking news for Edinburgh - Engine Shed to close due to City Council policy. Surely a grave mistake to force closure on somewhere that has had a proven success rate of getting people with learning difficulties into paid employment over the past 25 years. We have had a number of trainees from the Engine Shed at Hendersons over this period and each person has a fantastic addition to our team and a pleasure to have around. The team supporting them from the Engine Shed have also always been brilliant, so perceptive, understanding and caring. A pleasure to work with. We at Hendersons are lost for words about this awful news, and hope that something happens to alter this decision. Please give them your support.
