Absolutely sick to my stomach. Saw a truck with a trailer packed with horses with hip tags so I went up and talked to him....he said he got them all at new holland auction...which is the worse place for a horse to end up...also said he got them to turn out to pasture at his place in Louisiana....as he was wearing a cattle farmer hat...was skeptical at first...then looked at the horses....about 10 packed into a 6 ft tall 6 horse trailer...one was a 18+ hh Belgium draft horse....couldnt even pick its head up it was so cramed in there...then I noticed one was laying on the floor with other horses standing on it....it was dead...and appeared to have died quite awhile ago based on the smell. So im thinking that guy was full of it and is a kill buyer. Those poor horses :( ughh. I wish I was rich and had acres upon acres. Id have offered him a cpl grand and unloaded them all to my safe little haven. At least I got to give them all a kiss and a pat on the nose so they knew one person loved them before they died. :(
