Abu Hurayrah R.A. reported that Beloved Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam heard a man reciting Qul huwa Allaahu Ahad, and said, It is his right.’ They asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is his right?’ He said, ‘Paradise is his right.’ [Reported by Imam Ahmad, 7669] Beloved Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam said, “Whoever recites Qul huwa Allaahu ahad ten times, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” [Saheeh al-Jaami’ al-Sagheer; 6472] Ayesha R.A. reported that the Beloved Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam sent a man in charge of a small military campaign, and when he recited Qur’an whilst leading his companions in Prayer, he would always end with Qul huwa Allahu Ahad. When they came back, (his companions) mentioned that to the Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam, who told them to ask him why he did that. So they asked him, and he said, “Because it is a description of the Most Merciful, and I love to recite it.” The Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Tell him that Allah loves him.” [Reported by al-Bukhaari, 6827] Beloved Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam once announced to his Companions: “Assemble in my presence, for I will recite to you one-third of the Qur’an.” When they had assembled, Beloved Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam came out to them and recited: “Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Self-Subsisting. He begets not, nor is He begotten, and there is none like unto Him.(Surah Ikhlas)” Then he returned to his home. The Companions began speaking to one another about it. Someone said: “I think a revelation has just come to Him from the heavens. That is why he went back inside.” Then the Beloved Prophet SalAllahu Alyehe Wasallam emerged from his home again and said, “I had told you that I would recite to you a third of the Qur’an. That is indeed a third of the Qur’an.” [Sahīh Muslim; 812]
