Abu Saeed n Abu Hurairah both narrated: The Prophet ( peace be upon him) said: If anything befalls a Muslim whether it be fatigue, pain, distress, sadness, harm, or grief; even the prick of a thorn; it will always be a way Allah removes his sins from him. [Subhaanallah! Walhamdulillah! ]. In This hadith you can notice that nothing happens to us without reason. Lets Keep pleasing Allah and always cry to Him in sujuud to protect us from satanic influences. You can recite this dua regularly whenever the pain of stress comes to your heart. ﺎَّﻟ َﺖﻧَﺃ ﺎَّﻟِﺇ َﻪَﻟِﺇ ﻲِّﻧِﺇ َﻚَﻧﺎَﺤْﺒُﺳ ُﺖﻨُﻛ َﻦِﻣ َﻦﻴِﻤِﻟﺎَّﻈﻟﺍ La illaha illa Anta Subhanak, inni kuntu min adh-dhalimeen (There is no god worthy of worship but You; Glory be to You, Truly I have been one of the wrongdoers), [Surah al- Anbiyah, 21: 87) Sad ibn Waqas (radiAllahu anhu) reported that the Prophet (salAllahu allayhi wasalam) said, The supplication made by the Companion of the Fish (Prophet Yunus (as) in the belly of the fish was (the above). If any Muslim supplicates in these words, his supplication will be accepted/ responded to. You can also add this zikir, yaa Allah yaa Hayyu yaa qayyuum biRahmatika astaqeese. Meaning O Allah you are the living and maintainer of life, with your mercy I seek your help. Allah accept our dua and remove any distress from us. Amin.
