Academia, like Shankaracharya Mutts, is simple dhandha too. So one is left grappling with this manufactured opposition between two forces- one the moronic illogical right wing and the other this rational ,critical savarna dominated academia. It seems as if history and knowledge is the domain being contested. The fact is, however, that it is a battle to manage the power to define. The academia, mainstream writers etc. are very attuned to the ideological apparatuses of brahmanism and how it can be reproduced. Pick most savarna academics, writers hailed as must reads and you will not miss this fact. This dhandha is very ganda.
