Academic friends like Joe Schloss and Oliver Wang: Is it commonplace for doctoral candidates to contact you and basically ask for access to the primary source materials that youve assembled for your own work? Like, Id like to get all the interviews you did for The Big Payback. Because if a fellow journalist asked me that, unless they were a close trusted associate, Id have to inquire whether they were smoking that dust.
