Academy for Socio-Legal Studies, Jaipur Practical training for Young & Dynamic Lawyers Objective: The academy for socio-legal studies is a registered society working in the field of law and social justice for last 20 years. It has also been providing legal help to marginal sections of society such as dalits, labour, women, disabled and others. It is felt that there is a lack of trained and committed lawyers working in the field. Therefore the academy has decided to arrange practical training sessions for new and ambitious lawyers. Training program will include the following session – Drafting • Facts • Concerned documents • Law on subject matter • Grounds • Relief Presentation • Manner of addressing • Beginning • Facts of the matter • Law, citations. Arguments • Identification of disputed points • Factual position on each point • Law on each point Justice • Meaning of justice • Legal justice • Social justice. Apart from practical training there will also be interacting sessions with senior lawyers, judges and different officials from time to time. Eligibility: New lawyers who are registered advocates in any state bar council ( or are in the process of registration) are eligible for the training programme. • Date of commencement of the training programme: The first training will start from 15th September 2014. • The maximum seats for the training will be 20. • Duration of the training program: 3 Months from 15th September 2014 • Schedule Time: Monday to Friday, 4 to 6 pm in the evening • Venue: 49 Vivek Nagar, Station Road (near sindhi camp bus stand), Jaipur (Interested persons should give a confirmation call or mail beforehand to these under-mentioned persons, as the seats are limited and it is on the first come first serve basis) • Adv.
