‘Access to electricity a human right’ - Morung Express - The Inriangluang (Tamenglong) Chabuam Phuam (ICP) has condemned Manipur’s Power Department for the “continuous and total failure to provide electricity to the denizens of Tamenglong district.” In spite of several appeals from several groups and even the district collector, the failure of the department to deliver electricity to Tamenglong is seen as a deliberate move from the Government to “deprive Tamenglong in all fronts of development and dignified lives, as lack of electricity is one of the determinative factors, affecting education, health and a cause of economy disparity, and consequently, inequality in society leading to poverty and cut off an aid to get information and knowledge,” ICP stated Read full @ goo.gl/MffGwF
