Access to the tower used to be quite literally the high point of any visit to Suan Sri Nakhon Khuan Khan. Youd get a great view over the surroundings and were usually guaranteed to see 5-10 additional bird species. Now look at it! Access is via a narrow, slippery and bendy plank across the ditch. When you gain access, the tower is filthy. It is an accident just waiting to happen. Park officials told us that the tower is in the process of refurbishment, yet there is no sign warning visitors to Keep out. Considering that over 100 keen young naturalists are visiting this public park today, on a biodiversity survey, you would have thought that the park could have organised some better access.
