Acclaimed #author, #journalist #Khushwant #Singh passes away Noted writer and journalist #KhushwantSingh passed away on Thursday, at the age of 99. He was fine and passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, his daughter Mala Singh said. His cremation will take place at #Lodhi Crematorium at 4pm today. Lawyer-turned-diplomat-turned-writer, Singh assumed the position of editor for several literary and news magazines, including the #IllustratedWeeklyOfIndia as well as two newspapers, the #HindustanTimes and the #NationalHerald, through the 1970s and 1980s. His autobiography, Truth, Love and a Little Malice, was published by #PenguinBooks in 2002. In 2007, he was awarded with the #PadmaVibhushan.
