According to Aberfeldy Festival I am a clever Skylark with the very voice of spring. Her songwriting has the essence of the familiar and yet is quite ingenious as it flips and turns in a feathery dance. Her melodies are on the hills and have an air and charm about them. How great to have a Scottish songstress although timid not afraid to sing out and declare her words and sense of place. A Skylark of the hills and fields of Caledonia. How lovely! I shall be in this fair place of Aberfeldy this Saturday with my trio in a bill that we share with the rather fine Malcolm Middleton, Jonnie Common, Broken Records and Eagle Owl. Maybe see you there?
