According to Aristotle, “Excellence…is not an act, but a habit,” for just as He did for every successful individual, God has given each of us gifts that make us unique and holds great possibilities. But, for many of us, it’s the company we keep and our failure to spend time in prayer and in God’s Word that prevent us from discovering and developing them. That’s why the Scripture, “He who walks with wise men, will be wise…” (Proverbs 13:20), re-assures us of God’s role as the giver of our gifts and the One who supplies the strength to function successfully in them. So let’s start the week with a commitment to regular consultations with God and learning to always operate in our God-given strength!
