According to Dr Oz...overweight Americans can now qualify for the lap band procedure. It was previously avail only for morbidly obese individuals, but thats changed. For instance, a woman who is 54 tall & weighs 174 lbs & has a health risk (such as diabetes, etc) can now have the 40 minute procedure done. On average, a person loses 40 lbs rather fast following the procedure...& can continue to lose weight...& not gain it back. Overall, this will help Americans eliminate major health risks associated with obesity, such as diabetes, heart disease, etc. This is good news for many. Just a few of the many things Ive learned while recuperating at home after my skin cancer surgery. :) Youre welcome. lol
