According to John Pendergast given the extraordinary wealth that had been accumulated by officials of the government and rebels, the most effective way to get their attention is for the regional States that are leading the peace process, backed by the United Nations security council, to begin freezing or seizing bank accounts, houses, cars, businesses, and other assets attached to any south Sudanese government or rebel official, who are undermining the peace process or breaking the cessation of hostilities on the battle field that sound very much like a concrete solution but it is not. The world seem to be yearning for a quick fix peace or signing a flaw unwell putted peace that will not hold very long had the warring parties put in one basket. The crisis in South Sudan is initiated by the combination of many issues, top of which is the failure of writing a fair constitution. South Sudan constitution gave absolute power to the president where he rule the nation through presidential decrees. Although seizing assets may be an attention-getter, it is at the same time is not the solution. The only best solution would be discussing the root causes of the conflict and rewrite a new constitution that balance the power and avoid giving it to one person. A well design peace is a like of a CPA between South Sudan and sudan, similar document is needed which address all issues pertaining to the crisis.
