According to Stefanie Balogh: Member Michael Kelly has kick started the debate, writing he wants to launch a crusade to change the name because “most Australians still see the Greens as one dimensional and many see us as naive and anti-industry’’. “There’s a lot of work to be done, changes to be made and time to elapse before those perceptions change enough to make us a real alternative,’’ he writes. He does not put forward suggestions for a new name for the left-leaning party, but warns that they “will never persuade voters that we could govern while we’re called the Greens’’. Pardon? WE WILL NEVER PERSUADE VOTERS THAT WE COULD GOVERN WHILE WERE CALLED THE GREENS. Pardon? Again I ask those of whom are advocating for ALPs policy towards The-Virus should be one of Kumbaya-Appeasement (ahem, towards a Greens-ALP-Alliance) how is this possible when the latter wishes to replace the former? It isnt possible! Would the Liberals be in a Coalition with Nationals if the latter wished to replace the former? I doubt it very much. There will NEVER-EVER BE AN ALLIANCE BETWEEN the Great Australian LABOR Party, AND the johnny-come-lately-parasitic-political-virus that is The GREENS Party, Comprenez Vous @BobBrownFndn? Firstly we will CONTAIN you Bob, then secondly we will destroy you Bob, do you understand? I think Yes, you most certainly do understand Bob, hence the mad paranoid flurry to put lipstick on the pig of The Greens Party by changing its name. But it wont work Bob, & you know it, dont you? Hence the growing & understandable paranoia Bob, you must be afraid, you should be? Why what better possible person Bob, to take on The-Virus & drive a stake through the heart of its Tasmanian Birthplace than an original gay greens true believer whos left your silly insidious fold & proudly defected to Tasmanian Labor? I realize Bob, that it is more common for people to defect from Labor to Greens (i.e. Cassy OConnor) than it is for people to defect from Greens to Labor, but Ive always been a person who swims against the tide. And the cookie will crumble Bob, the way it will crumble which Bob for The Greens, will be into dust. I relish it. ~IMC..:)
