According to Stephen Hawking, God wasnt needed in order to set it off and he also states that the missing link in cosmology is dark matter and dark energy. He is correct - the Big Bang (actually a very quiet process) needed an infinite number of Gods; it needed all of us. We were all there at the start. The elusive dark stuff is none other than mind and an infinite number of Monadic minds made Life, the Universe and Everything. Why not visit your dark side and re-member what you really are!
