According to Superintendent Randolph D. Bynum, Sr., Sumter School - TopicsExpress

According to Superintendent Randolph D. Bynum, Sr., Sumter School District will no longer perform instructional audits through the utilization of the SWEET 16 program effectively immediately. The school district does, however, have licensed rights to SWEET 16 and can use it at perpetuity for free if the district so chooses at a future time. District level administrators and principals will continue instructional monitoring with a tool similar to the checklist that was used by the former Sumter School District Two in order to provide teachers with immediate feedback. The district will seek input from teachers and school leaders prior to implementation. Additionally, Sumter School District will delay the implementation of the standards-based report card in the third grade for one year in order to provide additional training for our teachers and adequately inform the parents of the new format. Standards-based report cards will continue for students in kindergarten through second grade. "We listened closely to our stakeholders and have made some changes for the new school year, said Bynum. "We appreciate their feedback and will continue to work together to ensure the success of our students."
