According to a J-Street Poll: American Jewish voters support settlement construction (72%) oppose boycotting settlements (75%) approve of the IDF in Operation Protective Edge (80%). This despite the majority of American Jews voting Democrat and favoring a Two-State solution. According to all polls, the majority of Jews would also favor a Two-State solution if we had normal pragmatic peace partners, but we dont. In other words, in America even democratic Jews face the reality of life in Israel. JStreet fails to appreciate Israels hazardous security situation and, by not doing so, fails Israel. Because of this the official Jewish body of American Jewry has soundly rejected JStreet. Meanwhile in Britain, the leadership of the Board of Deputies intend to pave the way to welcome the UK equivalent of JStreet into the official mainstream body of British Jewry, even as their American counterpart refuse to allow JStreet into their organisation. British Jews reject Miliband. Israelis Jews reject Meretz. US Jews reject JStreet. This is how out of touch the Board of Deputies has become when wealthy patrons and the progressive elite inject their minority political bias into mainstream British Jewry.
