According to a recent study conducted by Dr. Eran Elinav and Eran Segal , at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovat, says that ‘artificial sweeteners disrupt the body’s ability to control blood sugar’. Researchers are reporting that artificial sweeteners may disrupt the body’s ability to regulate blood sugar causing changes that can be a precursor to diabetes, a condition we aim to prevent by consuming artificial sweeteners instead of sugar. Now a days, people have become more health conscious and those want to lose weight or prevent the chances of getting diabetes are opting for these artificial sweeteners to reduce their calorie intake which they would get otherwise if they consume sugar. But studies are showing that these sweeteners are making the body even more glucose intolerant i.e. the body cannot effectively utilize the glucose consumed for yielding energy by altering the microbial flora of the gut and making people more prone to Type II Diabetes and Metabolic syndrome. #sweeteners #artificial #bloodsugar #diabetes #health #food #adamsgenetics
