According to a recent study published in Nature Climate Change Magazine, fish in Papua New Guinea are losing their survival instinct as a result of ocean acidification, a by-product of high levels of carbon emissions. Like weve reported previously on vulnerable coral reef ecosystems in Tuvalu, ocean acidification is just one of many climate change risks that our partner communities are identifying. While we work with communities to identify and adapt to these risks, we hope that our followers will join us in raising awareness more broadly about ocean acidification and other impacts that are inhibiting community development and threatening ecosystem health in the Pacific. radioaustralia.net.au/pacific/2014-04-15/fish-losing-survival-instinct-due-to-climate-change-study/1295864
