According to a report released by Forrester Research, ecommerce sales are expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10 percent over the next five years, which means online spending in 2017 will total $370 billion. Last year, online spending reached $231 billion and is expected to grow by 13.4 percent in 2013 to reach $262 billion. Items including in these calculations are groceries, tickets, electronics, etc.
