According to conventional quantum mechanics the total pattern of particles that the two split experiment gives is predictable, but where an individual pattern will end up is random. My question is can many purely random events give rise to a predictable pattern? As I see it if many individual events would be purely random the pattern that arises also needs to be random. It is the same for the decay of atoms. One says that the moment an individual atom will decay is random. Yet the half life of atoms is known. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-life I know there are many intelligent people here so I am looking forward to the answers.
