According to our founding documents....sovereignty resides with the People government existing to secure rights. Have you ever asked yourself why is it that the Constitution refers to the People and also to citizens separately? Example Amendment IV. It is the right of the People to be secure in their possessions. Amendment XIV. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States. The answer is simple....although purposely veiled. Sovereigns have rights. Citizens have exchanged their rights for privileges and immunities. Citizens along with their assets are chattel to the national debt. If you think sovereignty is of little consequence.....you may wish to reconsider.
