According to satellite data collected by OSearch—a non-profit organization with a global reach for unprecedented research on great white sharks and other large apex predators—a female great white named Katherine swam through Oregon Inlet sometime Friday. She pinged again near the Pamlico River the next day. Then Saturday night, another ping just off Cape Hatteras. OSEARCH is trying to learn more about these predators, which in turn will help in conservation.
