According to sociologist Robert N. Bellah, there are three categories of workers in this world: 1) Those who, because merely see their job as a way to make money and pay bills, eventually grow to resent it, 2) Those who, because they focus on advancement and prestige, tend to feel like their self-worth is on the line when their career is not going well. 3) Those for whom, because they see it as a calling, the work has meaning, turns out to be a blessing to others and fulfils God’s purpose. So, to ensure that at the end you’ll be counted amongst those who hear the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23), do your work well to the glory of God!
