According to the American Cancer Society, You are a cancer survivor from the moment of your diagnosis. You survive the diagnosis, you survive the treatment and you survive the disease, opened Kelly Grevemeyer, RN, Oncology Nurse Navigator with SJMPH. The St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron Annual Survivors Dinner brought together nearly 70 breast cancer survivors and their loved ones, as well as physicians and colleagues from the St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron Cancer Center, for an evening infused with camaraderie, hope, laughter, joy and inspiration. Each year our celebration gives us a chance to join together – with our survivors and guests – for an evening that celebrates optimism, survivorship and the awareness efforts and research investments made to find a cure for this devastating disease. To our survivors and their loved ones - we are humbled by your courage – you are our inspiration – each and every day.
