According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) buyers and sellers of homes in Florida have some typical characteristics. For 2014 the typical Florida buyer was 54 years old, the typical first time buyer was 33, and 67% of buyers were married. The typical seller lived in their home for 11 years, 87% of them used a Realtor to help #sell their home, and 85% of buyers used the help of an agent to buy their home. The internet continues to be used as a typical home finding tool as 91% of Florida buyers used the internet and on line searches at some point to do research on the home buying process, and to find homes for sale. Also 97% of Florida buyers view Real Estate agents as a useful source of information, and most buyers and sellers use the services of an agent.
