According to the Straits Times, a school bus operator, Sindoz - TopicsExpress

According to the Straits Times, a school bus operator, Sindoz Group, had contracts with two primary schools terminated this year. The operator had received complaints from ten other schools. This type of problem could have been avoided, if the government had been more pro-active in regulating the transport industry. What should the government have done? In this particular case, it is the duty of the Land Transport Authority to license all the school bus operators. If they issue the license and make it valuable to the holders, the operators will not jeopardize the license by failing to meet the required standards. If nobody wants to step forward and manage this matter, we have cowboy town where people can do what they want. This is the consequence of failure of the government.
