According to the US Bureau of Reclamation ...its looking like a High Flow Release of 37,000cfs is a high probability the week of November 9th here is the info: Potential High Flow Experiment The Department of the Interior is planning to conduct the potential high flow experimental release from Glen Canyon Dam under the High Flow Protocol the week of November 9, 2014. The protocol calls for conducting more frequent high flow experimental releases from the dam timed to occur following sediment inputs to the Colorado River from downstream tributaries. Sediment inputs and modeling as of Sept 19th indicate there is likely currently enough sediment for a 24-hour HFE with a projected magnitude of approximately 37,500 cfs. 7 of the 8 hydropower units are anticipated to be available for the HFE. Additional sediment influxes from the Paria River and further data collection and modeling prior to the end of October may modify the duration the HFE up to a maximum of 96 hours. A final determination will likely be decided near the end of October.
