According to the United States Supreme Court Case J.B.D. v. State of North Carolina, school resource officers are required to either have an arrest warrant and read students their rights when questioning them, or inform them that they have the right to leave and not answer questions; administrators do not have to do this. Why hire someone who cant do a job as effectively as the people already in place?
