Accountability !! Websters defines accountability as, expectation of account giving..taking responsibility for ones own actions. It appears to have become a lost art in todays society..and yet is one of the most important traits I have worked SO hard to instill in our son..as my mother and father instilled THIS IN ME. I firmly believe accountability is THE building block to success in all aspects of our lives. Accountability with our God..our spouse..our children..our co coworkers..our friends..and on and on !!! Accountability instills a person of character !!!! When we wake up each day..we wake up in the flesh and must give our flesh over to the Lord..even before climbing out of bed...accountability!! Each one of us is human.. we all make mistakes..but we ARE responsible for our choices and our choices have consequences. Remember that old saying..The grass is always greener on the other side!! Keep in mind...that grass may be greener..but often times it was fertilized with manure !!! We must practice what we preach...our spouse..our children..our coworkers..our friends..need to see us striving to be responsible each day..owning up to our mistakes and seeking to make right choices !!! Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me; lead me in the everlasting way. (Psalms 139:23-24)
