Accusations of Republicans and Clintonites notwithstanding, Obama is not coddling or being taken advantage of by our enemies. He is by our allies, however. Example: MINURSO--the UN peacekeeping force already in place in Western Sahara--is the only UN peacekeeping force not given a mandate to monitor human rights. Obama proposed they be allowed to do so. Over objections from Morocco, Congressional Republicans, and pro-Moroccan elements within his administration, he drops the proposal, but only with the provision that Morocco stop persecuting pro-independence activists in the occupied territory. Morocco agrees, but then doesnt follow through, without any apparent objections from the administration.
